What to do in Tamarindo

Surfing is what Tamarindo is best known for, ever since it was the setting for Robert August’s epic Endless Summer movie. The breaks are ideal to learn to surf, but there are also plenty of more challenging breaks along the 3km long beach, catering to the intermediate and advanced surfer.

Besides surfing and enjoying the tropical beach, Tamarindo has a whole range of other activities on offer. You can relax in top spas and yoga studios or during a sunset cruise, explore nature with an estuary or turtle nesting tour, or try something more adventurous such as diving, ziplining, ATV and kayaking.
